I’m sure you will have seen the media stories about Wessex Cancer Trust over the last 24 hours and the launch of their urgent appeal for £600,000 to save them from closure.
Our thoughts go out to their clients, staff and volunteers who are facing an uncertain future at this time.
I feel it important to let you know that our charity, Romsey Cancer Support Centre (Jane Scarth House) is not facing similar issues and we hope it will remain like this. It is our intention to do all we can to create a stable and certain base for our clients and to be accessible for those who will need our services in the future.
We have now had our independent status for 5 years and over that time have been privileged to receive a huge amount of support, both in terms of the financial donations and fundraising that come from so many but also from the goodwill of many individuals and companies. Whilst this support has enabled us to maintain and to expand our services we have remained cautious and prudent in our approach to spending – we have no plans to change this approach!
Thank you for all you do to make this possible
